Cheekyhandmades is a small local business run by Jennie Caminada from her garden studio in Walthamstow. It’s one of only four sewing machine repair businesses in the directory! Here she teaches sewing classes, fixes and services sewing machines, repairs and restored vintage quilts and makes bespoke quilts, and will undertake repairs to knitted jumpers, teddy bears and jeans too. A patchwork of jobs in a textile studio!
Jennie has been doing this since 2010 and has become a well known figure on the Waltham Forest scene, where she keeps school sewing machines purring and is involved with repair events in person as well as online. Jennie is passionate about repair and reuse and keeping things local.
